Happy New Year!

A time for changes for the better…
Shift gears!
Refocus on the important!
Make time to get in touch with your body and your health!
Take a daily walk each!
Experience the benefits of fresh air!
Make healthy food choices for yourself!
Read the Bible!
Get a massage!

Did you know that every seven years you have a completely different body? All your cells change; you literally become what you do each day! Nurture yourself and care for YOU as you would a child or a loved one. You deserve it and when you do you will find you are in a better place to give of yourself to others. Set a daily goal to do one nurturing thing for yourself and each night check to see if you did it, pondering on what you can do for the next day. I challenge you to nurture yourself.

A wise client just said to me the other day, “We can’t care for others if we are not taking care of ourselves.” Truer words were never spoken!

Drink to Your Health!

Easy, delicious, soothing, warm, and invigorating! Tired of drinking same, old same-old? Switch things up with this recipe. With its therapeutic benefits of spearmint and cardamom it is perfect for cold winter months.

1 very large cup of boiled water
1 drop spearmint essential oil
1 drop cardamom essential oil
1/4 tsp coconut oil

Who can’t use the metabolism boost and inflammation lowering properties of spearmint? The “Grain of Paradise,” cardamom, offers antispasmodic, expectorant and anti-parasitic properties leaving you feeling uplifted and refreshed.

Coconut Oil 101

Coconut oil is ideal to use as a cooking oil because it can take high heat without losing healthy properties. Most importantly this non-hydrogenated naturally saturated oil does not contain trans-fatty acids. A mild, light, subtle flavor makes this an excellent butter substitute. Coconut oil is converted into energy rather than stored as fat. Dieters, athletes and people who have trouble digesting fat find that coconut oil can be more easily digested than other oils. Best of all, Certified Organic Coconut Oil is a significant plant source of a form of lauric acid found naturally in human milk and naturally anti-bacterial and anti-viral.
