Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy Is Here!
I have just finished up and amazing week of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Certification with flying colors and I am ready to hit the ground running! MLD is a therapy that has been around since the 1800’s in Europe and only since the 1980’s been used here in the states. Uses are extensive ranging from:
- Diabetic neuropathy
- Trigeminal Neuralgia
- Scar Reduction
- Pre and Post Op Preparation
- Ear Aches
The application of bandages and measuring for compression garments that have been prescribed by a doctor can also be part of MLD and I am equipped to do that as well as assist in direction with the ordering of the garments.
MDL comes with a lot of research backing and most recently (2105) has been graced with the finding of the lymph vessels in the brain during studies at the University of Virginia with more findings on the horizon.
For the best treatment, a series of 5 50 min sessions within one week’s time with maintenance sessions following based on therapist’s findings is recommended.
That Being Said…
Many of you are aware of the MLD special that I planned to run upon completion of this certification. BUT, based on the recommendation of the MLD Institute and Dr. Robert Lerner, leading pioneer in the field of lymphedema, I need to adjust the original plan.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Special
